Air Astana delivered a strong and resilient performance in Q1 2026, with revenues up 13,2% and continued growth in demand across its network, despite a challenging global environment. RASK increased by 12,4%, with particularly strong growth in March.

The Group once again demonstrated its ability to act promptly and efficiently in volatile conditions. Following disruption in the Middle East, capacity was reallocated within 48 hours to more profitable markets across Asia, especially in China — where demand showed exceptional growth. This reflects Group’s agility and its ability to benefit from the «new normal».

Transit traffic increased by 65%, with a particularly strong surge in March, underlining Air Astana’s rapid emergence as a key East–West connector and the growing importance of Kazakhstan as a hub.

The Q1 results highlight that Air Astana is not only resilient to external shocks, but also well placed to benefit through its dual-brand model, flexible network and efficient performance.

The company also benefits from a stable fuel supply directly from the oil refineries, providing an important operational advantage in the current environment.

Air Astana will continue to prioritise growth, efficiency and customer experience, supported by a young fleet and ongoing network expansion.
