In 2020, a model from Ukraine Anastasiia Bondarchuk got on the cover of the spring L’Officiel, in the campaign from Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Red Valentino, Versace, Ferragamo, Armani Aquazzura, Max Mara. All this is due to the name she acquired in Ukraine, working with her producer Elvira Gavrilova on projects of the Georgian jewelry brand “Makatsaria Jewelry”, the international sports brand “Designed for Fitness”, the jewelry brand “Zarina” and others. Today, Anastasiia Bondarchuk’s model career comprises over 60 shots in various rating projects around the world. Anastasiia Bondarchuk and her mother Nataliya Bondarchuk, who is present at all the shoots, combining her business and her daughter’s career, told Forbes how to combine study and work, and how to achieve such a brilliant promotion.
Nataliya Bondarchuk: the secrets of raising successful children
Nataliya, the first question is for you. What was the parents’ influence, and whether it’s necessary to influence the choice of your kids’ profession?
- I never tried to make a model of my daughter, but I always taught Anastasiia to set goals and to achieve them whatever it takes. And the main thing in business and activity is to learn how to multitask, and work in several directions at once, for example, Nastya is now both working and studying. And in her studies, she is the same success, as in modeling business. And the secret to it is the right time management and hard daily work. I live and work on the same principle. Now I am the head of the “Diplomat” European Legal Group, and CEO in the “Legal Alliance” along with it; I don’t forget about social projects, and I am the president of the “First Step” student film festival. I know that I am an example for my children, and Anastasiia builds her career in taking my experience.
We know that model Anastasiia Bondarchuk has no idols. But you have an example, and this is your mother. Tell us about her impact on your success?
- I know for sure that I would achieve nothing without my parents. Nataliya Bondarchuk is my mother, Sergiy Bondarchuk is my father, and they are my idols. Firstly, it is education. Secondly, their personal example of success. As for education, it was my mother, who taught me to be hardworking, not to give up even if my legs are in blood (it is literal for a model). And it doesn’t matter if you or your parents have money and opportunities now; she taught me to think about the career and about the future from the early years. And do not live only for today. I am often asked, what is the key to your success? The secret is that I regard my activity as a serious work, I don’t pity myself on the set, and the photographers, whom I work with, appreciate it. And the fact that my parents are successful and I'm extremely proud of them is no less important. My dad is a lawyer in the Law Office of Sergiy Bondarchuk "Diplomat", and his achievements always serve as an example and motivation to work even more. After all, I am his daughter!
Model Anastasiia Bondarchuk: Ukrainian conquers the world
So, about the contracts and the model Anastasia Bondarchuk’s shooting. Tell us about the most memorable?
- Perhaps, the shooting that I remember most of all is the work for the Georgian jewelry brand “Makatsaria Jewelry.” We went shooting to Lake Braies in Italy. The founder of the brand, Irakli Makatsaria, worked with me in the frame; the photographer was Sonia Plakidyuk. There were -8 °C frost outside, and I was in a dress with bare shoulders, and there were six such dresses. The shooting lasted for two days, and hard work helped there. Another memorable shooting is the work in the Rumberos video for the song “Vona Taka”, where I played the main role. These shootings caused me extraordinary emotions. As for prestige and success, it is the work on the campaign, which was published in L'Officiel, where I graced the cover and 10 pages. The shooting lasted two days in Milan. And I worked with the top brands: Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Red Valentino, Versace, Ferragamo, Armani Aquazzura, Max Mara. Then I realized - this is a success.
I know that you are on the list of the most beautiful and talented young people in Ukraine? Tell me how bonuses and praises affect your work?
- Yes, it is. Moreover, I became the cover face of the catalog of the TOP 100: “The Future of Ukraine - Children” award. Firstly, I’m proud of holding the title of the most beautiful and most successful, and it motivates me for further work and achievements. After all, you understand that you must live up to the country's expectations and confirm the title. And you work with double strength and perseverance. Secondly, titles and awards help in the work, because they want to work more with the model Anastasiia Bondarchuk, who has already gained recognition. Therefore, yes, I think awards and titles motivate to work.
